Melon Music Awards 2026 Guide: Nov 14-15 Tickets & Venue

Picture a domed stadium in western Seoul where a different set of stars takes the stage on a Saturday night and then again on Sunday, all under one awards-show banner. That is the plan for the Melon Music Awards (MMA) this November. For the first time, the show runs over two days: November 14 and 15, 2026, at Gocheok Sky Dome.

If you are wondering whether you can go, the short answer is: tickets are sold through Melon Ticket, the first two pre-sales are already under way or finished, and prices, seating maps and the exact rules for foreign buyers need to be checked on the official page. This guide explains what the show is, how the sale works, how to reach the dome and how to avoid the usual first-timer slips.

Last updated: October 23, 2026. Ticket windows, lineups and rules can change, so confirm everything on Melon’s official MMA2026 page and Melon Ticket before you pay.

What the Melon Music Awards actually are

The MMA is a year-end K-pop awards show run by Melon, the music streaming service owned by Kakao Entertainment. This year’s edition is the 18th, according to Korean press coverage. Unlike a normal concert, it is a ceremony: artists perform, trophies are handed out and the evening moves quickly from act to act.

That format is the appeal. In one night you can see a long list of groups doing short, high-impact stage sets, often with special performances you will not get on a tour. The trade-off is that nobody gets a full concert, so it suits curious fans and people who love several groups rather than one.

The 2026 slogan is “K-POP CONNECT: The New Pulse.” It points to a new Global TOP10 category linked to the Global-K Chart. Melon launched that chart on June 1 together with Tencent Music and LINE MUSIC, and it combines streaming data from Korea, Japan and China with fan activity such as comments and likes (source: Korea JoongAng Daily).

Why two days, and what each day is

Reports say the MMA is splitting into two shows for the first time. Kakao Entertainment’s announcements, as reported by an entertainment site, call Nov 14 Global Day and Nov 15 Music Day. Global Day has 14 acts and Music Day has 12, for 26 in total.

The names tell you the idea: one night leans toward the international fan base, the other toward the music itself. Exactly how the programs differ has not been explained in the sources I opened, so do not assume one day is “better.”

Lineup announced so far

As of this writing, the announced lineup (per Kyunghyang Sports and a second entertainment report) is:

  • Nov 14 (Day 1): I.O.I, NCT DREAM, ATEEZ, aespa, YENA, RIIZE, TWS, RESCENE, DRAGON PONY, Hearts2Hearts, HANA, IDID, AEN and TUIDE.
  • Nov 15 (Day 2): NCT 127, IVE, PLAVE, 82MAJOR, NCT WISH, ILLIT, KiiiKiii, CORTIS, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, LNGSHOT, hrtz.wav and AND2BLE.

Treat this as a snapshot. Lineups can change, and awards shows often keep surprises back. Re-check the official page in the week before the show.

How the Melon Ticket sale works

Melon Ticket is the reservation platform for MMA2026. Here is the sequence reported so far:

  1. First pre-sale (Oct 19, 8:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.): limited to members who have subscribed to Melon for at least a year and hold the MVIP, VIP or GOLD tier. It included floor and tiered seats.
  2. Second pre-sale (opened Oct 22, 8:00 p.m.): open to any member with a Melon pass. It covers tiered seats and remaining seats, including cancellations from the first round.
  3. Limit: up to two tickets per Melon ID, counted across both pre-sales.

Since the second window has already opened, the best seats may be gone. I could not find a confirmed date or time for any later sale, and I could not confirm prices or the seating chart. Do not trust a reseller’s number. Open the Melon Ticket event page and read the “reservation policies” section.

The big question: can foreigners buy?

This is the part to check first. Korean ticket sites often ask for Korean ID verification, and I did not find an official statement on how overseas buyers are handled for the 2026 show. For how passport verification and global ticket sites usually work, read our guide on how to buy K-pop concert tickets in Korea as a foreigner. Then compare it with the rules on Melon Ticket itself, because each event sets its own.

Some travel agencies sell MMA ticket packages to visitors. If you go that way, read what is included, who the seller is and the refund terms. Do not pay through a social media message from a stranger.

Getting to Gocheok Sky Dome

The dome is at 430 Gyeongin-ro, Guro-gu, Seoul (서울특별시 구로구 경인로 430, Guro-gu means “Guro District”). It sits in the western part of the city, away from the usual tourist zones of Myeongdong and Hongdae, so allow extra time.

  • Subway: Line 1, Guil Station (구일역, Guil-yeok), Exit 2. The venue operator’s page says the walk is about 5 minutes.
  • Bus: the operator lists many routes from Sindorim Station (Lines 1 and 2), including 600, 662, 660 and 160, and from Guro Station (Line 1), including 5626 and 5712.
  • Parking: the operator did not list details online. If you must drive, call the Dome Stadium Operations Team at 02-2128-2300, or better, skip the car.

One quirk: some sources say only local (non-express) Line 1 trains stop at Guil. Check the train direction on your map app before boarding. Our essential apps guide covers Naver Map and KakaoMap, which show real-time train times better than Google Maps does in Korea.

A sample plan for a show day

Awards shows run long, and the crowd is big. Here is a plan that works for most people, using times you should adjust to your ticket:

  1. Morning: pick up any pre-ordered items and charge your phone. Screenshot your ticket and your hotel address.
  2. Early afternoon: eat a proper meal in central Seoul. Inside a stadium you will be queuing for snacks, not eating well. Convenience stores are a cheap fallback: see our convenience store food guide.
  3. Two to three hours before the show: head to Guil Station. Check the doors-open time on your ticket page; I did not find it confirmed.
  4. At the dome: find your gate, go through the bag check, and settle in before the opening act.
  5. After the show: do not rush into the first train wave. Walk a little, grab a drink, and let the platform thin out.

Mistakes first-timers make

  • Assuming one ticket covers both days. The show is sold as two shows. Check whether your ticket is for Nov 14 or Nov 15.
  • Waiting for the last minute. Pre-sales for popular shows move fast, and the member-only first window is already closed.
  • Buying from unofficial resellers. If the seller cannot show an official booking, walk away.
  • Going to the wrong station. The stop is Guil, not Gocheok or Guro, even though the dome is named for its neighborhood.
  • Relying on a taxi after the show. Demand spikes at the same time as the crowd. Know a subway route as a backup.
  • Forgetting the weather. It will be November. The dome is covered, but you will wait outside to enter and exit.

Insider tips

  • Read the policy page, not just the seat map. Rules on ID, name changes and refunds live there and decide whether your ticket is usable.
  • Check light stick rules. Awards shows often have group-specific fan items. Ask the official page what is allowed rather than guessing.
  • Use the “Cheering Board.” Kakao Entertainment says the MMA page on Melon has one where members, and non-members who log in through Berriz, can post messages for artists. It is a nice option if you cannot attend.
  • Vote while you can. A report says voting for the main TOP10 award runs until the 29th on the MMA2026 page within Melon. Confirm the month and details there.
  • Plan both days around different areas. If you are staying in Seoul for the weekend, use the gap between shows for something calm, such as the free National Museum of Korea.
  • Save an offline copy of your route. Underground platforms near the dome can be crowded and slow for data.
  • Book a hotel on a Line 1 or Line 2 stop. Sindorim connects both lines and links to the buses listed above.

If you cannot get a ticket

Do not give up. A Korean report says Melon has run an Instagram giveaway with daily secret codes, and winners get tickets. Check the official Melon account for current details. Many awards shows also stream, and the official channels announce where. I did not find a confirmed streaming platform for 2026, so watch the MMA page.

You can also ask other fans in our K-Entertainment space, or find a friend to go with in Travel Buddies. Going with someone makes the long exit queue much easier.

Who this is best for

The MMA suits fans who like many groups rather than one, first-time visitors who want a big K-pop night without a full concert, and travelers already in Seoul in mid-November. If you want a long set from one favorite group, a solo tour is a better fit.
